Julien Lam combines experimental and numerical techniques to study non-classical nucleation systems. He did his PhD at the Institut Lumière Matière (Lyon) where he worked on nanoparticle synthesis in the context of laser ablation in liquid. He then went to the University of Bristol to study crystallization of hard spheres in spherical confinement. Now, he is a postdoctoral researcher at the Université Libre de Bruxelles under the supervision of James Lutsko and he focuses on crystallization in cylindrical pores.
